Spring for Schools Thank you to the more than 1,000 school supporters who joined us at our Spring for Schools benefit luncheon on May 26, 2011. Together we raised $555,815 to support the best learning opportunities in Bellevue's public schools.

Luke 12:48 Foundation Grants $30,000 to BSF
The Luke 12:48 Foundation granted BSF $25,000 to support Project Readiness and $5,000 to support AVID.

Bacon Family Foundation Awards $100,000
The Bacon Family Foundation announced a $100,000 donation to benefit BSF's Project Readiness. Project Readiness targets academic intervention and needed services so every child is ready to learn.

Advanced Placement Update
Bellevue students continue to challenge themselves through college-level AP and IB classes. Eighty five percent of Bellevue School District students who graduated in June 2010 had at least one AP or IB course on their transcript. New Bellevue NBCTs Announced
Congratulations to the 49 teachers in the Bellevue School District who earned their National Board Certification in 2010. BSF is proud to support their hard work to achieve this distinction. Bellevue ranks in the top 20 districts nation-wide for National Board Certified Teachers.

Bellevue School District Wins i3 Grant
U.S. Department of Education awarded $4.1 million to BSD for "Re-imagining Career and College Readiness: STEM, Rigor, and Equity in a Comprehensive High School." BSF was instrumental in helping secure the 20% private-sector matching required to receive the grant.
