Spring For Schools May 27, 2010


Spring for Schools is a benefit luncheon held annually at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. Over 1,000 business and community leaders gather to demonstrate their support of Bellevue schools and students. All donations given at Spring for Schools support programs that benefit every student, every classroom - every day.

Thank you for making Spring For Schools a huge success. With your support, we were able to raise over $537,000 in support of Bellevue Schools and Students.

Individual Segments

 

Duke Truong, Newport Heights Elementary School teacher, spoke about the benefits of the new math curriculum, funded by Bellevue Schools Foundation

 

Lance Balla, Director of English Curriculum, spoke about the remarkable results of a Bellevue Schools Foundation-funded writing program for students in grades 6-12

 

Solomon, Sammamish High School senior, spoke about his journey from war-torn Sierra Leone to academic leadership with the help of a caring community and the skills he learned in Bellevue Schools Foundation-funded Avid Program .  We celebrate his success as he gets ready to graduate and attend Boston College.

 

Superintendent Dr. Amalia Cudeiro spoke of her goal of eliminating the achievement gap and extending learning for all students who are performing at or above grade level
