• Volunteers mentor, tutor and assist classrooms in math, literacy,
      science, technology and other academic areas.  Volunteers are
      supervised by staff in the schools and work directly with students!

• Skills Needed: Patience, flexibility and the ability to relate to students!

• Time Commitment: Screening and orientation - 1-1/2 hours.
     Volunteer a minimum of one hour a week during the school year.

  BSF is proud to have funded VIBES every year since 1991.  Since
     then, over 2,000 students have been paired with a caring mentor -
     and thousands more have benefited from the help of a classroom
     volunteer!
